Within theCTO Italy Operationsteam, theOperational Optimization Specialistplays a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and operational sustainability of systems and services supporting theItalian LE Business Units.
The position focuses onoperational process analysis,identification of inefficiencies,reduction of recurring incidents, andtechnology obsolescence management, with theobjectiveof improving service quality and ensuring business continuity.
Operational Process Optimization
Analyze existing operational processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
Define and implement optimization strategies aimed at reducing operational overhead and improving overall service reliability
Support the standardization of operational processes by promoting best practices and structured approaches
Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure alignment between processes, systems, and operational objectives
Obsolescence Analysis
Conduct structured assessments of existing systems and tools to identify components approaching end-of-life or no longer supported
Evaluate operational risks related to technological obsolescence and propose mitigation actions
Contribute to the definition of upgrade or replacement roadmaps, ensuring service continuity
Support and coordinate transition activities in collaboration with involved teams
Analyze root causes of recurring incidents and operational issues
Define and implement medium- to long-term corrective and preventive actions
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and promote a continuous improvement mindset
Document solutions and resolution processes, contributing to the creation and maintenance of an operational knowledge base
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with technical, operations, and business teams in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Support effective communication across different functions involved in operational processes
Contribute to the management of optimization initiatives and projects in multi-cultural contexts
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics/Management, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
Leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments (typically 3+ years overall)
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English; Italian is a plus depending on context
Solid technical knowledge of IT and operational environments
Ability to apply ITIL best practices and manage complex projects using structured Project Management methodologies
Basic data analysis skills to support operational decision-making
Skills
Experience managing projects and activities in complex, multi-cultural environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Mental flexibility, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving orientation
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
What we Offer We offer employment at the V level with the relevant salary, in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.
Gross annual salary ranging between 40K€ and 45K€. The final offer will be aligned with the candidate’s professional experience, technical and soft skills relevant to the role, and may include an individual variable component.
