Questa borsa offre l’opportunità di approfondire il mondo della crescita dei materiali nanostrutturati, per poter accoppiare proprietà magnetiche e di tipo semiconduttore in un singolo sistema composito. Il candidato studierà le proprietà magnetiche dei campioni, esplorerà le interazioni tra i gas e la fase semiconduttore e studierà le affascinanti proprietà dei sistemi ibridi. Infatti, una volta ottimizzati, i dispositivi verranno realizzati direttamente su film di biopolimeri.
Il candidato entrerà a far parte di un gruppo multidisciplinare, con apparecchiature all’avanguardia per la deposizione e la caratterizzazione dei materiali.

This scholarship offers the opportunity to delve into the world of nanostructured materials growth, so to couple magnetic and semiconducting properties into a single, composite system. The candidate will study the magnetic properties of the samples, explore semiconductor-gas interactions and get in touch with the intriguing properties of hybrid systems. Indeed, optimized devices will be grown on biopolymer films.
The candidate will join a multidisciplinary group, with state-of-the art materials deposition and characterization facilities.
