Construction Site Manager – Solar PV & BESS Locations: Piemonte, Ferrara, Apulia Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Structure: Site-based Build the infrastructure powering Europe’s energy transition An established international renewable energy developer and EPC contractor is entering a major construction phase across Italy, with multiple utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects now moving into delivery. With a multi-GW pipeline and active projects across key European markets, the organisation is strengthening its on-site leadership capability. This is an opportunity to take ownership of strategically important projects, playing a critical role in delivering assets that will operate for decades. You will be the senior authority on site. You will drive execution, lead contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards. The opportunity This role offers full ownership of on-site construction activities across large-scale solar and BESS projects. You will be responsible for translating engineering into reality, coordinating multiple contractors, and ensuring each phase of delivery meets programme, quality, and safety expectations. You will work alongside experienced engineering and project management teams, with clear accountability and the autonomy required to lead effectively. What you will be responsible for Leading construction delivery Take full ownership of day-to-day site execution across utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects Coordinate civil, electrical, and mechanical subcontractors to ensure efficient and aligned delivery Ensure construction is executed in accordance with engineering design, specifications, and programme timelines Identify and resolve technical or operational challenges on site Managing contractors and stakeholders Act as the primary point of leadership and accountability on site Manage subcontractor performance, timelines, and quality of delivery Coordinate closely with engineering, grid connection, and project management teams Maintain clear communication between site and project leadership Ensuring safety and compliance Uphold the highest standards of health and safety across all site activities Ensure full compliance with Italian regulatory, environmental, and construction requirements Conduct inspections, enforce procedures, and maintain accurate site documentation Driving quality and performance Ensure all installations meet technical and quality standards Monitor progress against milestones and proactively address risks Provide clear and structured progress reporting to project leadership What they are looking for Core experience Proven experience managing construction sites within solar PV, BESS, or related energy infrastructure Strong understanding of EPC construction environments and contractor coordination Track record delivering complex infrastructure projects safely and on schedule Technical background Electrical or civil engineering background is highly valued Experience with MV/HV systems and grid infrastructure is advantageous Strong understanding of construction processes and site execution Personal profile Natural leadership presence with the ability to take ownership and drive delivery Structured, decisive, and solution-oriented Comfortable operating in dynamic construction environments Requirements Fluent Italian and good English Willingness to work on site across Piemonte, Ferrara, and Apulia Why this role stands out Opportunity to lead delivery of large-scale renewable infrastructure projects Join an organisation with a substantial secured pipeline and long-term growth trajectory High level of ownership and autonomy on strategically important projects Strong long-term career progression within a rapidly expanding European platform
