Role

The Oncology Therapy Area Head is a new position, working within our Italian affiliate. In this role you will be accountable to position our Oncology Medical Affairs organisation to meet the needs of this future. Under the direction of the Country Medical Director, you will lead a dedicated and talented team in the development and planning of the Medical Affairs strategy in the Oncology Therapeutic Area. You will collaborate with global and local medical affairs teams to execute all activities in alignment with our global medical strategy.

Working across our growing Oncology therapy area, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the product life cycle, both internal and external, as well as being the primary point of contact for clinical activity, scientific liaison, medical information and other project activities in accordance with Ipsen SOPs and International Codes of Practice.

Key activities

Key activities include :

• Provide medical brand support and oversee Medical Advisor and MSL activities across our Oncology portfolio
• Develop and maintain knowledge ensuring you and your team are appropriately qualified and educated on the most recent scientific and clinical information
• Launch planning and preparation
• Provide scientific information and support to internal and external stakeholders
• Compliance and governance and risk assessment

Location

The role is based in Milan, with 2 days per week home working.
