Oil & Gas Start UP Engineer

Location: Work from Remote / Offshore

About The Role

This full-time hybrid role, work from remote along 2026 for engineering phase and then moving offshore for execution phase, focuses on managing Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) operations in oil and gas projects. The Oil & Gas Start-Up Engineer will oversee project execution and operations, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and innovative solutions. The role involves planning, troubleshooting, and optimizing processes to ensure successful project delivery within budget and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the project documents and deliverables of major projects in the Oil&Gas sector such as: systems subdivision, mark-up of P&IDs, schedule of activities and execution plans, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, operational test procedures, plant operating manuals and procedures in compliance with the project requirements
• Precommissioning, Commissioning, Start-up, Performance test, and Final Handover
• Prepare Commissioning and Operational Test Procedures for complex process and utility systems
• Support onsite execution activities and provide technical oversight and coordination with clients and stakeholders
• Interface with other engineering disciplines, and subcontractors to align deliverables and project timelines
• Assist in client personnel training and ensure smooth transition into operations

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or at least 10 years of relevant experience in Commissioning/Start Up
• Experience in Oil & Gas Commissioning & Operations procedures preparation
• Proficient understanding of Offshore assets, Drilling techniques and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in hybrid settings, with both on-site and remote collaboration
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience in Commissioning & StartUp in the oil and gas industry is a must
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data handling and reporting
