Occupational Health Specialist

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of occupational health and industrial hygiene principles.
• Understand oil and gas work environments, especially field and plant operations.
• Establish and lead a new Occupational Health Department, including administrative and clinical functions.
• Develop and implement occupational health programs and policies.
• Conduct health assessments and monitor the well‑being of employees.
• Collaborate with safety teams to promote a culture of health and safety.
• Provide training on health and safety practices.
• Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Health or Safety (preferred).

Certifications

• Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or equivalent certification.
• OSHA certification or similar safety training.
• Additional certifications in Industrial Hygiene or Health & Safety Management (preferred).

Experience

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in occupational health, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency with occupational health software, data management systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in developing and managing health programs and conducting risk assessments.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent English communication and reporting skills (Arabic is an asset).
• Ability to work in high‑pressure environments.
