You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Key Responsibilities

  • Scaling support of several data center locations and day-to-day assistance with capacity management.
  • Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
  • Leverage experience supporting large scale, enterprise-class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide management and support of AWS' vast network infrastructure, establish best practices, and refine operational procedures.
  • Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
  • Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
  • Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • 1+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repairing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software).
  • Data center experience; industry-standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
  • Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters.
  • Knowledge of major command-line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
