Neuroimaging Specialist Engineer – Memoria™ Project
Brain Imaging Systems, Signal Processing & Computational Neuroscience
- Part-time, unpaid during the early phase
- Hybrid work model (remote and/or on-site in Milan, Doha – Qatar, or Boston)
- Travel and meeting expenses will be reimbursed upon approval
- An NDA must be signed
This position may evolve into Lead Neuroimaging Engineer , Director of Neurotechnology , or Head of Cognitive Imaging Systems , depending on contribution and project growth.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Neuroimaging Specialist Engineer to contribute to the development and integration of neuroimaging systems within the Memoria™ project.
The selected candidate will work at the intersection of:
- Brain imaging technologies
- Signal acquisition and processing
- AI-based interpretation of neurological data
- Clinical and research collaboration
This role bridges engineering, neuroscience, and computational analysis , contributing to early detection models and assistive cognitive systems.
Responsibilities:
Neuroimaging & Signal Processing
- Develop and optimize pipelines for EEG, fMRI, or other neuroimaging modalities
- Implement signal preprocessing, filtering, artifact removal, and feature extraction
- Support multimodal data integration (EEG + behavioral + AI systems)
- Contribute to real-time or near-real-time neuro-data analysis
AI & Computational Modeling
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate neuroimaging data into predictive models
- Develop algorithms for cognitive state detection and anomaly recognition
- Contribute to brain mapping and neural activity modeling
System Integration
- Work with software engineers to connect neuroimaging systems to backend architecture
- Support development of clinician dashboards and data visualization tools
- Ensure compliance with privacy and medical device standards (GDPR, MDR)
Research & Clinical Collaboration
- Collaborate with neuroscientists, clinicians, and academic partners
- Contribute to research documentation and possible scientific publications
- Participate in validation protocols and experimental design
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Neuroengineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in neuroimaging systems or neural signal processing
- Strong knowledge of:
- EEG / fMRI data processing
- Signal processing techniques
- MATLAB or Python (NumPy, SciPy, MNE, etc.)
- Experience working with biomedical datasets
- Understanding of neurophysiology and cognitive neuroscience
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Neuroscience, Neuroengineering, or Computational Neuroscience
- Experience in MedTech product development
- Familiarity with machine learning applied to neuroimaging
- Experience in clinical research environments
- Knowledge of CE/MDR or medical compliance frameworks
- Experience with wearable neurotechnology devices
