Summary
We are looking for a Datacom Solution Manager to support complex networking projects in Italy. The role focuses on pre‑sales activities, solution design and technical positioning of IP and Datacenter networking solutions, working closely with sales teams, partners and customers.

Missions & Key Responsibilities
- Support sales and marketing teams during pre‑sales and customer engagements
- Design and position IP and Datacenter networking solutions aligned with customer needs
- Act as a technical reference for Datacom solutions in the Italian market
- Lead solution design, technical proposals, bidding support and quotations
- Promote routing, switching, WLAN and security solutions
- Provide technical consultancy and enablement to partners
- Contribute to large‑scale and complex networking projects
- Analyse competitor offerings and support competitive positioning
- Participate in solution marketing initiatives and industry events
- Collaborate with sales teams, partners and international technical stakeholders
- Support business development activities across Central and Southern Italy
Candidate Profile
An experienced Datacom / IP pre‑sales professional with strong technical foundations and customer‑facing experience. Comfortable working autonomously on complex networking architectures and engaging with customers and partners to translate business needs.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Datacom or IP pre‑sales with a proven experience with Datacenter and large networks design
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, WLAN and security solutions
- Exposure to complex and multi‑vendor projects
- Professional technical certifications (e.g. CCNP / CCIE or equivalent)
Languages
- Italian: Fluent
- English: Fluent
Soft Skills
The successful candidate demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and structured manner to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
They show a strong customer‑oriented mindset, combined with a pragmatic and solution‑driven approach to problem solving. The role requires analytical thinking, adaptability and the ability to collaborate smoothly with international teams, partners and sales stakeholders.
