Network & Security Engineer - Rome (Italian speaker)

Responsibilities
- Define security and networking requirements, supporting the study, development, and implementation of security and communication requirements, and flow down to subsystems in accordance with project design constraints.
- Analyze and manage Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and oversee system evolutions.
- Define and configure network subsystems (e.g., COTS such as routers, firewalls) by operating on actual devices.
- Support verification and validation phases by defining and documenting tests for security and networking requirements, and assist the integration team.
- Update documentation and specifications for systems and subsystems regarding Cyber Security and networking (SSS, SSDD, DJD, Test Plan, Test Procedure, etc.).
- Conduct architectural and performance studies for Cyber Security, communications, and networking solutions.
- Support technical meetings with partners and/or clients.
- Assist with integration and verification activities for Cyber Security and networking solutions in classified laboratories.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications for documentation, tables, presentations, and reports.
- Experience with software tools for operational data analysis and production of charts, tables, and diagrams.
- Experience with common text editors for source files and programmable components.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS NG).
- Experience with network modeling tools (e.g., EveNG).
- Experience with vulnerability analysis tools (e.g., NESSUS).
- Knowledge of international standards: MIL-STD-498.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python, Matlab, Java).
- Experience with object‑oriented programming.
- Experience with modeling languages (e.g., UML, SysML).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VirtualBox, Proxmox, vSphere).
- Experience with Unix‑like operating systems.
- Experience with Windows operating systems.
- Fluent Italian and English.
- You demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive, results‑oriented approach.
