Newbuild Warehouse Coordinator
PURPOSE:
NewBuild Warehouse Coordinator will primarily work in our warehouses located in Marghera, Genova, Monfalcone and Noventa di Piave where he/she will manage the receipt, dispatching, and storage of goods. Responsible for optimizing warehouse spaces, storing and allocating material in a way this can be easily extracted when needed onboard, processing and archiving shipment docs using WMS in order to track information useful for Logistics Dept. Support and coordinate logistics functions during loadings onboard. Works with internal and external parties including purchasing, freight forwarding companies and vendors to accomplish New Build project goals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must ensure all warehouse SOPs followed for all New Builds.
- Responsible for providing continuous monitoring of overall warehouse health.
- Supports Manager NB Logistics in providing strategic oversight and enhancement of warehouse operations and ensure assets are delivered to ships in a timely manner to meet project milestones.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution for Newbuild Owners Supplies.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency.
- Keeps auditable records in WMS related to receiving and releasing onboard.
- Confirms effective and safe use of warehouse equipment, establishing, enforcing, and maintaining standardized procedures.
- Coordinates overall warehouse spaces, identifying needs for expansion or opportunities to condense.
- Coordinates storage and transfers for New Build offloads,
- Maintain documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
- Report discrepancies to Supply Chain.
- Executes Weekly physical spot checks at NCLH local warehouses.
- Ensure all warehouse spaces are compliant with hazardous goods regulations.
- Available to support any other department duties/projects when needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience
- Minimum 1-2 years logistics related experience. Familiar with standard logistic, Customs Regulations, Inventory concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Good problem solving skills and basic analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and organizational skills sufficient to review and process orders efficiently.
- Must be able to perform a variety of routine administrative tasks in a dynamic environment, flexible with regards to frequent changes with ability to perform assigned responsibilities independently with routine supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks while supporting organizational and customer needs in a team-based environment.
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
- Working knowledge of procurement tools and systems.
- Excellent customer service skills.
