This research falls within the MEDS-26/A sector (Laboratory Medicine), focusing on omics, cellular, and bio/nanotechnology methodologies to support biomedical research. The goal is to establish a departmental center of expertise to facilitate the translation of basic research into clinical applications and innovative therapies. The work will include the optimization of analytical methodologies, the management of complex cellular models, and the integration of data into reproducible workflows. The results will be disseminated through publications and competitive research proposals, consolidating a cross-disciplinary platform aimed at strengthening the department’s research lines. The work will focus on developing and coordinating the departmental center of expertise, implementing advanced omics and bio/nanotechnology approaches. The candidate will optimize experimental workflows based on complex models and molecular methodologies, combining analytical design with the interpretation of multidisciplinary datasets aimed at identifying biomarkers and innovative therapeutic solutions. The role will also involve fostering internal collaborations to share methodologies and develop integrated projects. The candidate will also be responsible for drafting competitive grant proposals, disseminating results (through publications and conferences), and supervising undergraduate students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers. Teaching responsibilities cover courses in the SSD and related fields, focusing on methodological applications in diagnostics and research. These activities are aimed at undergraduate programs in Biotechnology, Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, Orthoptics, and Pharmacy, and extend to doctoral programs and specialized training programs.
