Offer Description

The successful candidate will conduct research aligned with the Scientific Disciplinary Sector MEDS-23/A, Anesthesiology, and integrated with the Department. Research will focus on intensive care medicine and anesthesia in high-complexity surgical settings, with particular emphasis on neurocritical care, neuroanesthesia, and interdisciplinary research approaches. The candidate shall ensure high-quality scientific output in terms of continuity, relevance, and impact within the scientific community, and shall participate in, coordinate, and lead national and international research projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching activities within the MEDS-23/A sector across undergraduate and graduate degree programs, residency programs (particularly in Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Pain Medicine), and PhD programs. The candidate will also contribute to tutoring activities and supervision of undergraduate, residency, and doctoral theses, including in interdisciplinary contexts. The candidate will plan, coordinate, and manage complex educational activities in settings with a large number of trainees and structured training networks, including the Residency Program in Anesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine, taking on responsibilities for coordinating teaching activities and managing the training network.The successful candidate will perform clinical duties consistent with the MEDS-23/A sector – Anesthesiology. Within these activities, a high level of expertise will be required in managing patients undergoing complex surgical procedures and critically ill patients, with particular reference to acute neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including high-intensity care settings and collaboration with specialized units.
The candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative clinical-organizational models for the integrated, continuous management of patients with acute neurological conditions across the entire care pathway, as well as to clinical governance and coordination activities, including the management and oversight of healthcare facilities.
The agreement for the assignement of clinical duties is subject to the agreement protocol between Regione Lombardia and Universities and to the following conventional agreement with the hospital administration.
