MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship on language and (early) literacy development

Social and Language Development LAB (SLD LAB)

Invites scholars to apply jointly with SLD LAB for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) on language and (early) literacy development.

Research Areas

• Language Acquisition and Development
• Bilingualism/Language Minority and Low-Income Families
• (Early) Literacy acquisition (traditional and digital practices at home and school)

Hosting research group / Supervisor

Applicants will be hosted at SLD‑LAB, University of Verona, with academic and administrative support from the lab and the University's Grant Office.

Eligibility

• Must have a PhD by the call deadline (September 9, 2026).
• Up to 8 years of research experience after the PhD.
• EU citizen, citizen of an associated country, or long‑term resident in Europe (for Global Fellowship).
• For European Fellowship: must not have resided or carried main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the call deadline.
• For Global Fellowship: must not have resided or carried main activity in the host country's third country for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the call deadline.
• Fluent in English, excellent teamwork attitude, organizational skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

• One reference letter from a referee.
