• Global Sustainability Reporting Lead

As part of our development in our Motion Business Area, we are seeking a passionate Global Sustainability Reporting Lead to elevate our sustainability function.

This role is open globally, preferably located in Europe, with a hybrid work model.

The position reports to the Motion Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and functionally to the Motion Global Head of Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive the execution of sustainability reporting processes for the Motion business, including internal and regulatory reporting, planning, methodologies, data sources, internal controls, and process flows.
2. Serve as the primary contact for sustainability reporting within Motion for ABB Group initiatives such as Planning & Performance Management, Long-Term Performance Plan, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, etc.
3. Act as the ABB Group Reporting Lead for Circularity, overseeing data collection, validation, and reporting, ensuring controls and process alignment.
4. Monitor and interpret regulatory sustainability reporting requirements, supporting implementation across Motion divisions and countries, collaborating with Government Relations, Public Affairs, and Standardization teams.
5. Ensure collaboration between Finance and Sustainability functions to integrate sustainability into broader reporting and performance management, proposing innovative approaches and best practices.
6. Improve sustainability reporting processes by designing, standardizing, and enhancing documentation, ensuring they are effective, scalable, and compliant with policies.
7. Enhance data quality through coordination with Product Management and IS teams, leveraging digital tools for strategic insights and compliance.
8. Prepare sustainability content for executive reviews and develop dashboards to monitor performance against targets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, preferably with a focus on Sustainability or ESG.
• Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, GRI) and experience with audits and assurance processes.
• At least 5 years of experience in sustainability and/or financial reporting in international settings.
• Strong interest in sustainability reporting, with experience establishing new processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, financial reporting tools, and Power BI dashboards.
• Strategic thinker with analytical, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing and collaborating across teams.
• Proven project and change management experience, capable of leading initiatives independently in complex organizations.
