Offer Description
The candidate will analyze existing single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) datasets to characterize post-metamorphic cell types and investigate their developmental dynamics. The project includes the generation of cell type-specific bulk ATAC-seq datasets from pre- and post-metamorphic sea urchin stages. Using Hybridization Chain Reaction in situ hybridization (HCR-ISH) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), the candidate will validate and spatially map post-metamorphic cell types. Finally, live imaging and transgenic approaches will be employed to trace the developmental origins and lineage relationships of these cell populations. Additional Information
Eligibility criteria Italian or foreign candidates may participate in the selection procedure if they possess: MSc degree in Biology or equivalent qualification obtained abroad obtained no more than six years ago as well as a curriculum suitable for assisting in carrying out the research activities covered by the assignment, Knowledge of English OTHER Eligibility of fellows: country/ies of residence: OTHER Eligibility of fellows: nationality/ies: OTHER Selection process
Selection based on qualifications. The comparative assessment of candidates will be carried out by the Scientific Supervisor, who will examine their qualifications and curricula vitae in order to assess their scientific and professional expertise and identify the candidate best suited to carry out the specific research activities covered by the application.
