Microbiology Validation Specialist

Our Quality Control team is looking for a candidate to be trained and integrated into the team as a Microbiology Validation Specialist.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental microbiological control of production areas deemed at risk of product contamination.
• Assess compliance with requirements and manage any deviations.
• Promote improvement actions and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Conduct bioburden and sterility testing on sterile devices, assessing compliance with requirements and managing any deviations.
• Perform Cleaning Validation activities.
• Write protocols and reports.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in scientific disciplines (Biotechnology, Biological Science, CTF).
• Minimum experience in diagnostic systems and in medical device companies (nice to have).
• Good knowledge of English (B2/C1 Level) and Italian (C2 Level).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The candidate will work in collaboration with other company departments; therefore, good operational effectiveness, flexibility, and excellent teamwork skills are required. Accountability and problem-solving abilities are key expertise for success in this role.

The candidate will be based at DIESS's headquarters in Strada dei Laghi 35 - Monteriggioni (SI), with a fixed-term contract for maternity cover.
