On behalf of Medac Pharma Italy, Pharma Point is seeking a Medical Science Liaison- Central-Southern Italy

On behalf of Medac Pharma Italia, we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a strong scientific background and proven experience in the role to join the Medical Affairs Department.

The role of the MSL is dedicated on the maintenance and development of the main relationships with the principal medical scientific experts as well as actively working on the development of clinical research projects in the Headquarter.

Directly reporting to the Medical Affairs Director, the candidate will support mostly the medical/scientific programs of Medac Pharma in the Hematology and Uro-oncology area and will contribute to cross-functional account management by supporting shared projects.

The MSL will collaborate with clinicians and other scientific experts to present and develop research projects and clinical trials that Medac design in the above-mentioned fields.




The MSL’s main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships and collaborations with a panel of National and Regional KOL's in the field of Hematology and Uro-oncology, representing the main point of contact for any medical/scientifical topics
  • Supporting the development of clinical and scientific research projects as well as new projects in the therapeutical areas of interest
  • Supporting the Field Force colleagues in their relationship with KOL’s through scientific trainings of the new literature of the main products, new clinical indication and scientific evidence
  • Presenting and discussing clinical and research data during hospital meetings in the national reference centres
  • Supporting the Medical Affairs team on the evaluation of national new clinical studies feasibility as well as managing the critical situations in on-going clinical studies
  • Developing and maintaining collaborations with the main scientific societies
  • Supporting the Medical Affairs Director in the development of scientific contents of product portfolio
  • Gathering medical insights from the territory to the head quarter in order to discuss the appropriate strategies in the mentioned therapeutic areas
  • Ensuring continuous alignment with Field Force team
  • Supporting Market Access colleagues to introduce the company products at national and regional level
  • Interact, when needed, with the Global Medical Affairs Department as well as his/her peers in the other countries on the scientific product development


Job Location: the role is ideally based in Rome or Naples with field activities in the assigned territory


Who you are:

  • Deep knowledge of the key MSL activities and processes with solid experience in
  • similar role in Italy in the ematology field and preferably also in uro-oncology area
  • Medical or scientific degree (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmaD)
  • Previous experience in clinical research or Post doc will be considered as a plus
  • High level of external customer relations management skills (KOLs, specialists)
  • Knowledge of clinical trials in GCP and interpretation of data from clinical trials and research programmes
  • Excellent written and communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic vision
  • Good attitude in team building
  • Dynamic person with a strong commitment to values
  • Good English level, both written and spoken is required
  • Good command of the Office package (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
