Medical Manager (Northern Italy)
About the role
For our dynamic, growing, and innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs professional. This role offers the opportunity to operate autonomously and entrepreneurially, engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work.
You will join a team with one Medical Manager in Italy, responsible for developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects. You will also provide support to Sales and Marketing colleagues, requiring an affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. Residency in Italy and fluency in English are necessary for communication with the European Management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.
Major tasks & responsibilities
- Develop Medical Affairs strategies and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards.
- Build relationships with KOLs and healthcare leaders, utilizing evidence-based information.
- Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
- Assist with Early Access Program requests for melanoma patients in Italy.
- Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma.
- Lead and monitor investigator-initiated trials.
- Disseminate scientific information timely, ethically, and compliantly.
- Establish links with networks in Derma-oncology and other therapeutic areas.
- Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
- Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events with medical content support.
Education Qualifications (Graduate-Post Graduate)
- Mandatory: (bio)medical or scientific degree.
- Driver’s license required.
Work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
- At least 1 year in a commercial role within the same industry.
- Native Italian and fluent in English.
- Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
- Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy is a plus.
