We are thrilled to share that we are now expanding our Italian region, and therefore, we are looking for a Medical Affairs Manager in Italy to support our growth.
About The Role
In this role, you will focus on developing professional relationships with key experts and NITAG members in disease states of strategic importance to our company. You will act as the subject matter expert for assigned vaccines, including cross‑functional work at the local and regional level.
Some of your main tasks will be:
- Develop and execute the local Medical Plan for assigned vaccines
- Support planning and execution of medical education initiatives to strengthen disease and vaccine knowledge and Bavarian Nordic’s scientific reputation
- Plan and execute insights‑generating initiatives, e.g., advisory board meetings
- Review and approve local promotional material and localise global medical material
- Support medical training for marketing and sales colleagues
- Support potential investigators in submitting Investigator Initiated Studies to enhance the understanding of the scientific foundations and goals of the study
- Support special projects upon request and assist with other responsibilities/projects as they arise
Background And Skills
You hold an academic degree in a life‑science subject, preferably Medicine, alternatively Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry. You have experience as a Medical Manager, Senior Medical Science Liaison, or Senior Medical Advisor within a pharmaceutical organization. You bring solid knowledge in vaccines and/or immunology. As we are a global organization, we expect you to hold full proficiency in English and Italian.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal and written scientific communication skills. You are good at building networks and have excellent interpersonal skills. You can understand, interpret, and explain complex scientific and medical details. You come with solid knowledge of the Italian pharma industry’s standards and guidance for promotional and non‑promotional activities. From a more practical point of view, you can travel domestically as required.
