Your Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Mechanical Testing Designer
who will ensure the reliability of finished products and me-chanical components/systems. You will be responsible for designing and executing tests, inspections, and certifications necessary to verify defined functional/reliability requirements, and continuously updating applicable regulatory references and compliance tests.
Your Impact
Ensure the reliability of finished products and mechanical components/systems.
Design and execute tests, inspections, and certifications to verify defined functional/reliability requirements.
Continuously update applicable regulatory references and compliance tests.
Define mission profiles for machines and subsystems/components.
Analyze potential failure modes and their effects.
Develop test plans for functional/reliability verification of machines/components.
Design tests and testing machines.
Design equipment for measurements and experimental tests.
Define test protocols and acceptance criteria.
Conduct experimental measurements of loads applied to products by users and testing machines during testing.
Conduct FEM, static, and dynamic analyses.
Perform experimental strain gauge analysis.
Identify and address solutions to detected problems.
Prepare test reports and summary tables/documents for functional/product groups.
About You Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down-to-earth and ethical.
What you should bring
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5-10 years of previous experience in mechanical testing and design.
Knowledge of industrial technical drawing and tolerances.
Analytical and numerical structural calculation and machine component sizing.
Knowledge of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic automation.
Understanding of product functionalities and proper/improper use.
Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques.
Methods and tools for experimental stress/strain analysis.
Knowledge of fatigue and tribology phenomena.
Scientific approach to experimentation.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Experience in failure analysis.
Compensation Data We believe great work deserves great recognition. For this role, we offer an annual gross salary (RAL) between €35,000 and €50,000, based on your level of experience, technical skills, and scope of responsibilities, in accordance with the applicable National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanici).
