For our own projects, we are looking for a MECHANICAL QUANTITY SURVEYOR
MISSION:
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all mechanical quantity surveying activities, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget control, and contract management throughout the execution of a bio-refinery project.
TASKS:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical works, including piping, static and rotating equipment, HVAC, and relevant materials and labor.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide cost control to prevent overruns.
- Conduct mechanical quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities for piping, steel supports, equipment installations, and related scopes.
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor progress claims, variations, and payment applications for mechanical works.
- Support contract administration, including preparation, review, and negotiation of mechanical contract terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align mechanical cost control with project progress.
- Analyze project risks related to mechanical cost factors and propose mitigation measures.
- Prepare periodic mechanical cost reports and forecasts to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, mechanical standards, and client requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Bio-Refinery projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction methods, piping systems, equipment installation, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in English and Italian is mandatory
