Overview

We are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale hyperscale data centre campus in Pavia, Italy . This role will focus on the management and coordination of the mechanical scope on a major mission-critical project with a total planned capacity of approximately 500MW .

Working as part of the project delivery team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical contractors and ensuring the successful installation, commissioning, and handover of key mechanical systems across the development.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the mechanical package delivery across the data centre development.
• Manage mechanical contractors responsible for critical systems including HVAC, cooling systems, chilled water infrastructure, and associated plant .
• Monitor construction progress to ensure works are delivered in line with programme milestones, budget, and technical specifications .
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth integration of all building services systems.
• Review technical documentation including design drawings, specifications, and method statements .
• Ensure installation works meet quality, safety, and mission-critical reliability standards .
• Support testing, commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Identify project risks or technical challenges and work with stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Attend and contribute to site coordination meetings and provide progress updates to project leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Package Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer on large construction projects.
• Strong background in mechanical building services systems , particularly HVAC and cooling infrastructure.
• Previous experience delivering data centres, mission-critical facilities, or other highly technical construction projects is highly desirable.
• Experience managing mechanical subcontractors on large-scale construction sites.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery, installation, and commissioning processes .
• Ability to work in a fast-paced international project environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
