Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Connectors Team. The candidate will be actively involved in the development of new solutions and in the management of active product lines.

Primary activities are:

  • supporting the lifecycle of catalog products by collaborating with production and service teams, and maintaining detailed technical documentation.
  • design and development of innovative, functional, and sustainable product solutions, from concept to production.
  • prepare feasibility study to fulfill customer needs and business goals.


The role:

  • Prepare technical documentation, detailed 3D/2D drawings, and BOMs for production.
  • Develop and refine product concepts and through sketches, CAD models, and prototypes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and design optimization throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the other engineering teams to verify and finalize product requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and support design validation through simulations and testing.
  • Ensure designs meet performance, cost, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues.
  • Support internal production teams and suppliers throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Stay updated on materials, manufacturing processes, and design trends.


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, Product Design Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in product development and design engineering (at least 5 years).
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Ability to perform FEM analysis to support design development and validation, or to collaborate with external consultants.
  • Solid knowledge of key manufacturing processes (Injection Molding, Machining, Casting, etc.).
  • Knowledge of materials commonly used in these processes (plastics, rubbers, metals, etc.).
  • Experienced in selecting materials based on requirements.
  • Skilled in physical prototyping and model-making techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of PDM/PLM/ERP software (SolidWorks PDM and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or similar).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to select suitable type and size of off-the-shelves components for the required use.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity and its principles is a plus.
  • Experience in surface treatments and coatings.
