Mechanical Designer / Drafter of Piping Components

Required Skills:

·       Experience as a mechanical designer/drafter and/or relevant educational background (e.g. Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree or technical diploma) 

·       Software knowledge: 

-SolidEdge and/or similar 3D drafting software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) 

-Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) 

·       English language proficiency 

Preferred Qualifications (considered a plus in candidate selection):

·       Professional experience in at least one of the following fields: piping, piping components, process valves, pressure vessels, actuators 

·       Professional experience in Oil & Gas, Power, or Process industries 

·       Knowledge of major applicable codes and standards (e.g. ASME VIII, ASME B31.x, EN 13480, EN 13445-3, API 6A) 

·       Knowledge of materials commonly used in piping applications and related product standards 

·       Knowledge of manufacturing and material processing methods (e.g. machining, forging, heat treatment, welding, etc.) 

·       Experience with FEM/FEA methodologies (e.g. Femap with Nastran, ANSYS Mechanical) 

·       Knowledge of 2D drafting software (e.g. AutoCAD)
