Experteer Overview
In this role you will develop detailed concept studies and designs for steam turbine structural and rotor components, advancing them from concept to industrialization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define production checks and material specifications, while supporting manufacturing and site activities. The position supports Ansaldo Energia’s decarbonisation vision by enabling robust, manufacturable designs for high-performance turbines and generators. You will work in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment focused on efficiency, reliability, and scalable solutions. Detail design of stator and rotor components in 3D/2D, including raw, machining, and special processes Define dimensional and NDT checks required during production 3D/2D assembly design and procedure definition Create bill of materials leveraging input from multiple departments Support manufacturing production and final engine assembly Assist site activities during plant erection and engine outages to satisfy design needs Responsabilità
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical diploma with at least 2 years of mechanical design experience Solid grounding in mechanical design fundamentals, machining, welding, and machine tools Experience with parametric CAD (2D/3D) Ability to perform 1D mechanical integrity evaluations to ensure robust design Knowledge of materials production processes (casting, forging, welding) Know‑how of main machining processes (turning, milling, broaching) Familiarity with technical drawing concepts (ISO, tolerances, isometric, assembly drawings, cross sections, roughness) Good command of English (spoken and written) Requisiti fondamentali
