Mechanical Architect – Thales Alenia Space
Join Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), which develops high‑tech space solutions. The Mechanical Architect will design and validate mechanical, electrical, and software systems for space applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and understand customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock‑ups, and prototypes.
- Formalise specifications and architectures that propose the best solutions for clients.
- Prepare and carry out integration, verification, and validation tests.
- Define test plans and procedures for system‑level testing.
- Ensure technical integration and coherence of system design, interfaces, and performances.
- Design the architecture of the command and control system.
- Demonstrate the solution to the customer.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in software and/or hardware, systems engineering, and IVVQ activities.
- Experience using management and engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, TFS, JIRA.
- Familiarity with network configuration and administration.
- Experience leading engineering projects or activities.
