MATERIALS APPLICATION ENGINEER - PRODUCTION SUPPORT - AVIATION DOMAIN

Job Location: Turin Area, Italy


Role Overview

The selected resource, assigned to a well-structured Engineering Support office dealing with Aero Engines domain, will be in charge for activities related to production support and R&D. Specifically, the selected resource shall contribute to validation of materials and processes, definition of technical specifications and failure analysis/investigation on damaged and/or non-conforming components, partnering with other Departments (i. e. Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain etc. ) and directly interfacing with suppliers.


Qualification requirements

  • Materials/Nanotechnology/ Engineering Master Degree or similar background;
  • Broad knowledge about materials (metallic, ceramic, composite, polymeric etc) and experience on characterization tests;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook);
  • Commitment, precision, flexibility, proactivity, reliability;
  • Self-organization/self-motivation oriented mindset;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent team-work attitude strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict deadlines;
  • Availability for business travels (short & long term travels).


Desired skills

  • Good knowledge of production processes applied to nickel superalloys is considered a plus;
  • Experience with international standards is considered a plus.


Due to the nature of work, candidates should be Italian Citizens.
