Material Planning Supervisor

Material Planning Supervisor – Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Supervise the daily activities of the material planning team, ensuring correct processing and follow‑up of purchase orders.
• Coordinate with production planning to align material deliveries with production requirements and KPI targets.
• Monitor order status, track shipments, and follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics.
• Identify and escalate potential supply chain risks, shortages, or delays to management.
• Support inventory control activities and provide visibility on incoming materials to the planning team.
• Generate reports on material planning activities, order status, shortages, and KPIs for management review.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth operations and production continuity.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience (3–5 years) in material planning, operational purchasing, or order management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, CyberPlan, E2Open) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in industrial, electronics, or manufacturing sectors.
• Understanding of production planning, MRP processes, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with supply chain KPIs and reporting tools.
