Material Planning Specialist

Pramac , part of the world’s leading gas generator and third largest diesel generator manufacturer, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Planning Specialist to join our team. The role, reporting directly to the Material Planning Manager, will be managing the material procurement according to the production plan requirements and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders through Oracle MRP
- Ensure that quantities and delivery dates are confirmed by suppliers after order submission
- Maintain updated sourcing rules in consultation with the Manager
- Guarantee material availability to meet production plan requirements and Oracle system expectations
- Check daily production shortages and participate in production meetings with all necessary answers
- Ensure timely arrival of materials on the line, using the fast-track file if needed
- Expedite materials and proactively seek alternative solutions in case of issues with quantities or delivery dates
- Verify discrepancies between invoice and order prices
- Provide support in case of supplier non-conformities
- Weekly alignment of supplier order portfolio and system clean-up
- Maintain supplier master data - item information (empty planner, lead time, minimum lot size)
- Manage and update supplier price lists in Oracle
- Handle subcontracting orders when required
- Collaborate and support production for all material supply requests
- Coordinate with buyers for supplier meetings
- Support Logistics in organizing transportation to optimize costs, ensure punctual deliveries, and maintain inventory levels
- Identify opportunities for cost savings or improved delivery dates (TCO)
- Support the continuous improvement process by introducing Lean and Just-in-Time tools for supplier deliveries, such as Kanban, e-Kanban, and supermarket systems
- Manage the in-transit goods file
- Report the expiration of framework agreements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in material planning or a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing or automotive industry (2-3 Years Mininum)
- Excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Proficiency in management software and tools (e.G., ERP systems: Oracle) and in MRP procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of the main product categories
- Fluent English (Written and Spoken)
