For our Iveco Defence Vehicles and Astra business units, we are looking for a Material Management Manager
Job Purpose:
The Material Management Manager leads a team of Material Planners to ensure efficient material flow, optimal inventory levels, and high service levels to production and assembly lines. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to support manufacturing operations while minimizing costs and inventory risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 9 Material Planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee shipment plans from suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal service levels for production and assembly lines.
- Analyze inventory levels, monitor excess and obsolete stock, and implement action plans to achieve inventory performance targets.
- Review and control purchase requisitions and orders to prevent overstocking and material peaks.
- Collect and consolidate data on material shortages, prepare reports, and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Prepare supplier forecasts and collaborate with Purchasing to assess supplier production capacity.
- Support warehouse operations by investigating inventory discrepancies and identifying root causes to improve accuracy.
- Maintain and update SAP master data in alignment with inventory policies.
- Conduct training and audits on Materials Management processes and best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Suppliers, Production, Quality, Engineering, Controlling, Project Management, Purchasing, and Logistics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Materials Management within a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role with direct reports.
- Proficiency in SAP (MM module) and Click software.
- Advanced level of English (spoken and written).
