Baccarat, a symbol of enduring artistry and refinement, is set to unveil its first international hotel beyond New York, Baccarat Hotel Rome.


Positioned in one of the world’s most storied cities, this exceptional opening will transcend the traditional hotel experience. It will be a place where heritage meets contemporary culture, where design, gastronomy, and community come together to create something truly rare.


We are seeking an accomplished Director of Marketing to shape and define the voice of Baccarat in Rome, leading the brand’s debut and guiding its evolution as a cultural and social destination of global significance.


The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Marketing will be entrusted with curating the narrative of Baccarat Hotel Rome from its earliest moments through to its long-term positioning in the market.


This role requires a thoughtful and intuitive leader, someone who understands that true luxury is not only seen but felt. You will bring the brand to life through considered storytelling, meaningful partnerships, and a deep connection to place, ensuring that Baccarat resonates as both a global icon and a local institution.


Key Responsibilities


Brand & Narrative

  • Partner in defining and articulating the identity of Baccarat Hotel Rome, ensuring all expressions reflect the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, and modern sensibility.
  • Act as the guardian of brand integrity across all guest and community touchpoints


Pre-Opening & Launch

  • Lead the planning and execution of the hotel’s opening, partnering closely with corporate marketing and ownership to align on brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy, and ensuring a launch that is both culturally attuned to Rome and impactful on a global stage.


Communications & PR

  • Oversee all communications and PR efforts, including the direction and management of agency partners, to secure high-impact, brand-aligned coverage across international and local media.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key press, tastemakers, and cultural opinion leaders to position the hotel with credibility and relevance.
  • Guide all communications with precision and nuance, ensuring the brand’s voice remains elevated and authentic.


Digital & Presence

Digital (Web & CRM)

  • Lead the development, launch, and ongoing management of the hotel’s website and digital platforms, including email marketing, ensuring a seamless, on-brand user experience and alignment with corporate standards and commercial objectives.


Social Media

  • Own the strategy and day-to-day execution of all social media channels, defining the platform voice, overseeing content planning and publishing, and driving engagement and growth in line with brand positioning.


Content

  • Oversee the creation and production of all content across channels, establishing a clear editorial direction and ensuring consistency in voice, quality, and cadence aligned with the expectations of a global luxury audience.


Partnerships & Cultural Integration

  • Foster meaningful collaborations with artists, designers, and cultural institutions, positioning Baccarat Hotel Rome as part of Rome’s creative and social fabric.
  • Create experiences and moments that feel both rare and deeply connected to the city, ensuring an always-on approach to programming and activations.


Food & Beverage Storytelling

  • Shape the identity and positioning of each venue as a destination in its own right.
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to create experiences that are as memorable as they are distinctive.


Strategy & Stewardship

  • Lead the development and execution of the hotel’s marketing strategy, balancing brand-building initiatives with performance-driven activities that support revenue goals.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with commercial priorities, working closely with Revenue, Sales, and corporate marketing to drive demand while maintaining brand standards.


About You

  • A refined marketing leader with experience in luxury hospitality or globally recognised lifestyle brands
  • Proven success in pre-opening environments, with the ability to build and position a brand from inception
  • Deep understanding of luxury, culture, and the art of storytelling
  • Well-connected within local creative, cultural, and luxury networks
  • Digitally fluent, with a strong appreciation for design, detail, and guest experience
  • A natural collaborator with presence, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Fluency in English & Italian required
