Context
The Company & The Challenge Blue Lagoon Iceland is evolving. We are transforming from a world-renowned single destination into a diverse hospitality group (Blue Lagoon Group ) with a portfolio that spans luxury hotels, Michelin-starred dining, skincare, and adventure tourism in the Highlands.
We are building a Digital Growth Team —a specialized unit operating within the group to drive growth via digital channels. We combine data, technology, and creativity to maximize both business value and end-user experience.
The Team & The Setup You will be joining a cross-functional Italian/Icelandic team. We work remotely and on-site, blending the agility of a startup with the resources of an iconic global brand. Our focus is pure Digital Marketing Growth: we experiment, we measure, and we optimize.
Experience Level: Mid-Level (2–3 years of experience)
Role Overview: We are seeking a strategic specialist to own and elevate our retention ecosystem. In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing the full customer lifecycle from initial lead acquisition to long-term loyalty. You will serve as the bridge between data and creative, working closely with Brand Managers to ensure our communications are timely, relevant, and commercially effective. Ideally, you are a professional who is organized, strategic, and focused on maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
Your Duties:
- Platform Management: Serve as the primary administrator for our email marketing platform (Klaviyo). You will be fully responsible for maintaining database hygiene, managing segmentation, and ensuring high email deliverability rates.
- Automation Architecture: Design, implement, and optimize complex automated customer journeys. This ranges from foundational workflows (e.g., Welcome series) to sophisticated cross-sell logic (e.g., tailoring offers based on browsing behavior).
- Acquisition & Optimization (CRO): Manage on-site lead acquisition strategies, including the implementation of pop-ups and data capture forms. You will run rigorous A/B tests to continuously improve sign-up rates and lead quality.
- Campaign Orchestration: Partner with the brand team to execute tactical email campaigns. You will ensure precise audience targeting, guaranteeing that the right message reaches the right segment at the optimal time.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Proven experience administering Klaviyo (strongly preferred) or comparable automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Braze, Mailchimp).
- Commercial Acumen: A solid intuition for customer segmentation, cohort analysis, and conversion funnels. You view automation as a revenue driver, building flows designed to convert rather than simply inform.
- Strategic Autonomy: The ability to translate broader business objectives (e.g., "Increase average purchase value by 10%") into actionable technical strategies with low supervision.
- Stakeholder Communication: Good communication skills are required. You must be able to articulate complex segmentation logic and workflow strategies to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Contract & Logistics
- Contract: 12-month fixed-term full-time contract with significant potential for extension or permanent conversion based on performance and project evolution.
- Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
- Location: Milan office with required availability to travel to Iceland for workshops and team sprints.
- Start Date: We aim to start as soon as possible but are happy to accommodate a standard notice period for the right candidate.
- Language: Fluent English is a must; you will be communicating daily with international stakeholders.
