Work Location: This role is open to applicants residing in any of the following EMEA countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, or Serbia.
We are looking for a Market Segment Manager Aerospace & Defence responsible for increasing demand creation, revenue, and gross profit for Avnet Silica in the assigned area of responsibility in EMEA.
This role focuses on developing a specific Vertical Market within Avnet Silica, targeting the End Market Sub Application with the highest growth potential.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop the Go-To-Market-Plan for Aerospace & Defence.
- Coordinate with the regional Aerospace & Defence Team to implement the plan at target customers.
- Understand market trends to identify fast-growing target sub-segments and define the customer base in alignment with the Aerospace & Defence segment.
- Work with the Specialist and Technology Team to develop solutions for these sub-segments.
- Align with the Supplier Development Team on supplier focus.
- Provide Business Cases and ROI analysis.
- Drive activities in collaboration with Sales & Technical Teams, including joint customer visits.
- Build and extend relationships with key decision-makers in relevant End Markets/Sub Segments.
- Share best practices and success stories, including technical articles or interviews.
- Participate in fairs and seminars to monitor market developments.
- Engage with standardization committees relevant to the industry.
- Identify new and fast-growing markets for investment.
- Develop and align the Go-To-Market Strategy and Investment Plan.
- Coordinate with the regional Aerospace & Defence Team and support daily operations.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree in Engineering (M.Sc. / B.Sc. or equivalent).
- 7+ years of experience in a sales and development environment within electronics and semiconductors.
- 4+ years in a technical support (FAE) or R&D role, preferably related to software and hardware.
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor products and hardware/software engineering.
- Strong relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Excellent facilitation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
- Skilled in MS Office, Project Management tools, and SAP design registration modules.
- Willingness to travel.
