We are excited to announce an important opportunity to join Spirax Sarco Italy as a Marine Business Manager.
In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Spirax solutions in the marine sector across Italy, collaborating closely with the sales companies across Europe and the USA.
This position will also be part ofthe leadership team.
Leveraging your experience in a commercial strategic environment and your ability to foresee market opportunities, you will utilize our internal technical expertise in steam, fluids, and thermal solutions to meet customer needs, support our strategic initiatives, and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.
The position is based in Trieste, Italy, with the possibility of considering candidates for relocation from other regions.
Your objectives and responsibilities:
• Act as the primary sales representative for the Marine Business division.
• Accountability for leading and managing the sales of Spirax Sarco solutions in the marine sector, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve business objectives.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment by demonstrating strong followership skills and motivating your team.
• Engage with customers or prospects to market and sell products, assess performance and strengths, deliver product training, negotiate agreements, support product integration, and plan andforecast sales.
• Identify new market opportunitiesand evaluate the success and perception of Spirax Sarco products.
• Manage, support, and guide the teams working within the Marine business.
• Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to the annual strategic planning process.
• Compare monthly sales results togoals and take corrective action where necessary.
• Provide customer feedback on product performance.
• Ensure the extension of existing contracts and negotiate long-term agreements with customers.
• Oversee the preparation of bids and negotiate terms and conditions in accordance with Sales and Credit Policies and controls.
• Ensure the timely execution and delivery of the orders, addressing any issues or delays with customers.
To be successful in this role, your skills and experience are likely to include:
• Capability to develop and implement long-term strategies to achieve growth while improving operational efficiencies within a major business unit.
• Proven ability to manage large-scaleprojects, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation, preferably within the Marine Sector.
• Capability to develop and implement long-term strategies to improve operational efficiency and achieve business goals.
• Strong followership skills to lead and motivate a Team, fostering a collaborative and productive workenvironment.
• Excellent negotiation skills for engaging with suppliers and contractors on a global scale.
• Ability to solve complex problems and make effective decisions in critical situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including clients, suppliers,and regulatory authorities.
• Proficiency in English andItalian languages (written and spoken).
• Alignment with Spirax Group Corporate Values.
• Demonstrated motivation, enthusiasm, determination, reliability and availability.
• Pivotal role in coordinating and leading the Proposal and Engineering Team for Marine Business.
• A degree in Naval Engineering or naval technical diploma is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of Marine industry, Maritime technologies, Naval engineering, Maritime regulations and sales experience in Marine Business are preferred.
• Familiarity with international and local maritime regulations, ensuring all operations comply with safety standards.
