ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Packaging & racks specialist design and develop packaging concepts and returnable racks aligned with IVECO Group standards, ensuring component protection and integrity throughout the global supply chain.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Develop packaging concepts and returnable racks for new components, using IVECO Group standards and technical specifications.
- Design protective elements and rack layouts to ensure safe transportation and handling.
- Produce technical drawings, 2D/3D layouts, and documentation to support procurement and supplier validation.
- Lead packaging validation during new model launches and engineering changes (ECOs).
- Ensure ergonomic compliance, line‑side feasibility, and compatibility with plant handling equipment.
- Contribute to logistics footprint optimization and containerization strategies
- Align packaging solutions with product characteristics and assembly requirements.
- Collaborate with Purchasing for supplier sourcing, cost negotiations, and RFQ technical support.
- Support Quality and Plants in addressing packaging‑related non‑conformities or handling issues.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing
- Language skills: English (written and spoken)
- Experience in packaging engineering, logistics design, material handling, or automotive supply chain.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.G.CATIA/MATRIX).
- Understanding of lean logistics principles
- Ability to work in team with accountability and leadership
- Availability to travel
