About the Role

The Manufacturing Project Engineer is responsible for all tasks and activities related to manufacturing processes. They lead, budget and schedule internal projects supervising the manufacture of the systems including process improvements and troubleshooting.


Responsabilities


  • Responsible for planning and overseeing equipment produced in Italy and coordinate all project elements including engineering design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final acceptance
  • Manage the project within budget
  • Prepare and maintain a GANTT to plan and monitor all the activities related to the assigned projects
  • Keep strong relationship with suppliers and monitor the manufacture and respect of delivery of components
  • Generates the Purchase Requests and RFQs to any supplier, expediting and monitoring deliveries on the assigned projects
  • Plan project requirements and resources, including the sourcing of sub-contract elements, etc.
  • React promptly and effectively to changing client and product needs
  • Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions
  • Produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary
  • Accurately cost any changes in specifications
  • Produce clear, focused and understandable explanations for change requests
  • Track customer changes and participate in customer meetings when required
  • Participates in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEAs), Quality history reviews, robustness studies, etc
  • Track tasks against the project timing plan
  • Assist with design verification and sign off reporting
  • Apply specific technical skills as required to support the customer or colleagues
  • Be willing and available to work at customer premises as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Quality control of work by appropriate reviews and track quality issues over the entire project scope
  • Support and lead process improvement activities
  • Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients
  • Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented
  • Feeds with reliable data the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
  • Undertake continuous training and development
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments (Engineering & Admin), customers, suppliers and other service providers



Skills

  • Engineer (Dipl.-Ing.), Master or Bachelor of Science or equivalent education.
  • +4 year’ experience in Job Based Manufacturing (Manufacturing to Order)
  • Good understanding of engineering principles
  • Mechanical, electrical, electronic or software background desirable
  • Proven Project Engineering/Project Management experience
  • Experience in Bill of Material (BOM) structures
  • Understanding of legislation and standards
  • Understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work Example roles this job description may cover

  • Ability to prepare reports and use appropriate modes of communication, proficient at analyzing data, creating reports

  • Deep knowledge of industries’ standards, testing methodologies, tools, and equipment
  • Advanced computer skills, in particular MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and PM tools
  • Good knowledge English language, written and spoken.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines on the multiple assigned projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
