Our client is a German-based chemical producer, specialized in plastic polymers’ additives. On its behalf, we are looking for a Managing Director .
The successful candidate will direct and control the Italian entity's operations, including production, and provide strategic guidance to ensure the company achieves its mission and objectives.
Key responsibilities include accurate financial management and legal representation of the company.
The ideal profile must have strong technical knowledge in grafted polymers or plastic polymers’ additives.
Mission of the position
- Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals
- Taking responsibility for strategic sales and managing key accounts
- Supervising, guiding, and delegating to executives
- Maintaining positive relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities
- Overseeing business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal guidelines
- Planning and executing international business development
- Reporting to the board with market insights and strategic advice
Expertise
- Bachelor's in chemistry or chemical engineering; a master's degree is a plus
- Extensive experience in technical sales management in the plastic additives B2B market, either with chemical producers or distributors
- Experience managing large, diversified teams
- Experience as a general director or similar role is advantageous
- Proficiency in English
Reporting
- Direct reporting to the Group CEO for all Italian operations
- Reporting to the Plastic Additives Business Unit Manager for sales activities
