Job Description
- Summary - The retail transformation team are industry strategic thought leaders that help retailers solve business problems by envisioning, differentiating, and optimizing customer and operational experiences.
- The Managing Business Consultant is an expert in customer experience design, design thinking, and digital transformation who will initiate and lead business engagements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to NCR clients with a focus on experience-led digital transformation.
- Plan, organize, and execute strategic transformation engagements ensuring that a quality, integrated solution is delivered in a timely manner, within budget, and to our client’s satisfaction.
- Work with Professional Services teams to support the delivery of other technology consulting projects as needed.
- Partner with sales and product experts to guide and develop business.
- Develop thought leadership in the strategic customer experience domain and create tailored, market-relevant strategic offerings and propositions for clients.
- Use insights to lead client discussions and help shape their strategic agenda.
- Establish cross-functional relationships within NCR and with clients to be viewed as a “go-to” on retail trends, transformation, customer experience, and business operations efficiency.

Experience
- Deep retail industry knowledge/experience.
- Demonstrable experience in strategic consulting activities for complex organizations and delivering large-scale projects and programs.
- Experienced in design thinking, service design, and human-centric design.
- A degree in business, marketing, communications, computer science, engineering, or related fields; MBA or other graduate work is ideal.
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-geography teams.
- Experience working with senior-level client stakeholders, handling difficult conversations, and resolving issues.
- Ability to coordinate multi-faceted activities and deadlines, anticipate challenges, difficulties, and pressure points.
- Evidence of thought leadership and innovative thinking.
- Possess strong knowledge & experience in at least 2 of the following areas/capabilities:
- Consumer engagement
