The Role And What You’ll Do
The On Location Milano Cortina 2026 H&S Manager will be responsible for ensuring On Location’s Milano Cortina 2026 project complies with all H&S-related legal obligations and has effective control measures in place to mitigate work-related risks of injury, harm or ill-health to staff, clients and the general public as a result of its activities, including that of contractors. This work may be conducted in cooperation with local H&S contractors. Duties include:
- Conduct an initial analysis of the On Location Milano Cortina 2026 project H&S profile, identifying key challenges in terms of risk and compliance, supporting the VP Corporate H&S in formulating a prioritised strategy to address them
- Keep all aspects of H&S under review to ensure risks are mitigated and legal obligations are met
- Monitor and coordinate the work of any H&S contractors in support of the On Location Milano Cortina 2026 project
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the On Location Milano Cortina 2026 project comply with national and local H&S regulations; this includes venues and On Location’s enabling administrative and logistic activities
- Provide advice on H&S-related matters, including risk prioritisation, risk control, contractor vetting, the roles and responsibilities of On Location managers, staff, contractors, venue management, etc, including liaisons with external agencies and regulators, etc
- Continually monitor the most critical H&S risks and the effectiveness of control measures through inspections, audits and other assurance mechanisms
- Conduct a stakeholder analysis, establish an effective network and collaborate with, but not limited to, contractors, government and local authorities, Olympic bodies, venue management, emergency services, etc to ensure healthy, safe and compliant workplaces
- Drive a strong H&S culture across the On Location Milano Cortina 2026 project that requires leading by example, prioritising the control of H&S risk, legal compliance, open and honest reporting, etc
- Implement systems and processes to record and measure H&S performance, holding stakeholders to account and driving continual improvement across the On Location Milano Cortina 2026 project
- Lead on the implementation of OSHENS – the system used to formally record H&S accidents, incidents and near misses and conduct analysis and investigations to prevent recurrence as required
You Have These
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health & Safety, Risk Management or similar subject
- A comprehensive knowledge of Italian H&S law
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Experience of working in the hospitality and events sector
- Experience of leadership and management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, business-oriented approach, able to produce high quality work at pace
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
