For the Summer 2026 season, we are looking for a Maître to join our team at Mangia's Himera Resort. T he selected candidate will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring an efficient, well-coordinated service that meets Mangia’s quality standards. They will coordinate the dining room staff, support management, and intervene directly in customer relations when necessary.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the dining room team (chef de rang, commis, waiters), ensuring efficiency and high service quality
  • Manage the daily operations of the restaurant, organizing shifts and assigning duties
  • Welcome and assist guests, handling complaints with professionalism and discretion
  • Oversee table settings (mise en place) and the presentation of the venue, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate communication and service flow between kitchen and dining room, ensuring accurate timing and smooth operations
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene (HACCP) and workplace safety regulations
  • Collaborate with management in planning events, promotions, and service strategies


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing restaurants or dining facilities, preferably in upscale environments
  • Excellent organizational and team coordination skills
  • In-depth knowledge of service techniques and dining room protocols
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Problem-solving abilities and stress management in dynamic environments
  • Flexibility with working hours, availability for shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Professional appearance and grooming
  • Good knowledge of English; additional languages are a plus
