Engineering & Maintenance Superintendent – Casting

Location: Lafayette, IN | Full-Time | $130K–$140K Base Salary
US Citizenship required for ITAR Compliance

Take ownership of a critical operation within one of the region’s largest manufacturing sites.
We’re hiring an Engineering & Maintenance Superintendent to lead all reliability, engineering, and maintenance efforts across the Ingot and Lithium Cast Houses for a global metals manufacturer. This role blends technical depth, operational leadership, and strategic impact —perfect for someone who thrives in high-output, heavy industrial settings.

What You’ll Lead

  • Full ownership of engineering and maintenance across two cast house operations

  • Guide a team of salaried engineers and maintenance leaders

  • Drive reliability-centered maintenance strategy across equipment and systems

  • Lead root cause investigations , preventive maintenance , and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Oversee contractor management and capital repair projects

  • Coordinate daily repairs and long-term planning with off-shifts, production, and planners

  • Act as the final decision-maker on all maintenance activity across shifts

  • Collaborate with engineers to reduce downtime, increase system uptime, and launch new projects

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited institution

  • 5+ years in industrial or heavy equipment maintenance leadership

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate across shifts

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (required due to export control regulations)

Bonus Points For

  • Casting or combustion experience in industrial environments

  • Familiarity with Oracle EAM or other CMMS platforms

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Strong people leadership, communication, and continuous improvement mindset
