Maintenance Engineering Specialist (Global Standardization & Digital Transformation)

For an important international project in the Facility / Maintenance Engineering area, we are looking for a Middle-level Maintenance Engineering Specialist who will support the definition, harmonization, and optimization of maintenance plans across multiple countries.

The resource will work hands‑on on maintenance activities and standards, performing technical gap analysis on preventive maintenance plans, OEM manuals, legal requirements, and local operational constraints. The role also includes supporting the implementation of a new AMS/AM digital tool in collaboration with the Digital Transformation team.

The position requires strong technical understanding, analytical mindset, and the ability to coordinate with local teams across different countries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing maintenance plans across multiple countries/sites
  • Review OEM manuals and technical documentation
  • Verify legal obligations and compliance requirements related to maintenance activities
  • Perform gap analysis between local maintenance plans and global standards
  • Identify standardizable activities versus country‑specific/custom requirements
  • Define and support the implementation of standardized maintenance strategies
  • Produce structured analysis and reporting (e.g. % compliant / non‑compliant / partially compliant activities)
  • Collaborate with local technical teams and service providers in different countries
  • Support the implementation and adoption of the new AMS/AM maintenance tool together with the Digital Transformation team
  • Provide technical guidance for newly established sites (e.g. Germany)
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, facility management, and digital teams

Scope of the Project

  • 6 countries involved
  • Definition of global maintenance standards

    • building age and technical constraints
    • operational flexibility
  • Support definition of standard maintenance plans for new sites and service providers
  • Gap analysis and standardization activities to be completed end‑to‑end

Profile Requirements

Must-have Skills

  • Experience in Maintenance Engineering / Facility Engineering / Industrial Maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance plans
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals and technical documentation
  • Experience with maintenance standardization and gap analysis
  • Hands‑on and operational mindset ("willing to get hands dirty")
  • Ability to work on technical details while maintaining global overview
  • Experience working in international/multicountry environments
  • Fluent English (mandatory)

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with AMS / CMMS / Asset Management tools
  • Experience in Digital Transformation projects
  • Knowledge of maintenance compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience coordinating external service providers
  • Experience in facility/building maintenance environments
