To support the growth of our Operations department, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, taking responsibility for our first plant in Sardinia and contributing to the definition of maintenance processes and the overall Operations infrastructure for future sites.


Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer will support plant maintenance activities through:

  • Defining and updating the Maintenance Plan (preventive, corrective, and predictive) in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Performing Maintenance Engineering activities: interpreting operational data and identifying corrective and improvement actions.
  • Supervising on-site maintenance activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to procedures.
  • Coordinating external contractors: planning activities, monitoring progress, and verifying compliance.
  • Managing and optimizing spare parts and materials, including traceability, inventory, and procurement workflows.
  • Supporting the development of predictive maintenance based on operational data and component reliability indicators.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and HSE to ensure operational continuity and process improvement.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the CMMS system.


The role requires regular presence at the Ottana site (Sardinia), corresponding to approximately three days per week, with exact scheduling to be agreed.


Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering or similar; alternatively, a technical diploma combined with solid experience in industrial plants.
  • Experience (even short but hands-on) in maintenance engineering, site engineering, or supervisory roles in industrial/energy facilities.
  • Knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of industrial systems, mechanical/electrical equipment, and field safety practices.
  • Ability to coordinate external contractors and supervise operational activities.
  • Skills in analysing operational data, defining KPIs, and using digital tools for maintenance monitoring and management.
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, ability to multitask and structured problem-solving.
  • Availability for regular travel to Sardinia.
  • Good command of English.
