3D Machine Learning Engineer
European Tech Recruit are working closely with a market leading 3D scanning company, based in Bressanone, who are looking for a talented 3D Machine Learning Engineer to join their team.
In this role you will join a company that leverages state-of-the-art in Computer Vision and Machine Learning to scan highest quality, relightable 3D models of objects and products at scale.
Their 3D scanners are used globally by customers such as Meta, adidas, NUREG, Inditex (ZARA, Massimo Dutti, etc.), Gucci, Salomon, Quad, and other leading brands, content creation studios, and technology companies to mass produce tens of thousands of 3D assets per year.
You will work with neural inverse rendering to push our client's 3D scanning technology to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of algorithms and models for relightable 3D reconstruction as well as 3D and material understanding
- Develop innovative solutions to add physical priors into AI models and neural inverse rendering techniques for appearance and geometry
- Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code that can go into production
- Collaborate daily with the team of software engineers, machine learning experts, system developers, and researchers and actively propose solutions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science or related field required
- ~3+ years of work experience, preferably in a dep-tech start-up
- ~ Strong programming skills (Python, C++, or similar)
- ~ Proven track record in the area Neural Inverse Rendering (e.g. NeRF, gaussian splatting, material decomposition)
- ~ TensorFlow, PyTorch) and differentiable rendering frameworks
- ~ Experience with image processing, computer graphics, and classical CV/ML techniques
- Experience with Generative AI models for 3D
- SfM, multi-view geometry, structured light, point cloud and mesh processing
