M&A Specialist

doValue is looking for an M&A Specialist to be hired in Group Finance in Rome.

The M&A function drives the company’s inorganic growth by identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic investment opportunities. It supports value creation through rigorous financial analysis, deal execution, and effective post-deal integration in close collaboration with corporate and business teams.

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive benchmarking, with a focus on servicers, asset managers, and specialty finance
• Develop corporate research and financial analysis based on financial statements, business plans, and financial models.
• Perform company valuations using key methodologies (DCF, trading and transaction multiples, LBO, NAV).
• Build advanced financial models to support deal structuring and scenario analysis.
• Prepare internal and external presentations (investment decks, management presentations, market overviews).
• Support the full M&A process: project management, due diligence coordination, and drafting/execution of legal documentation.
• Collaborate with corporate functions (Legal, Finance, Controlling, HR, IT) to implement M&A and corporate development initiatives.
• Contribute to post-deal integration and synergy tracking.

COMPETENCIES and SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ROLE

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Solid understanding of M&A and corporate finance tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with financial data platforms (Factset, Bloomberg).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Reliability, flexibility, and precision.
• Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a corporate environment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in finance/economics/management
• Proficiency in Italian and English
• Master degree
• Relevant Professional Certification (MBA ae)
• Advanced Microsoft Office / AI tools

REQUIRED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of prior relevant experience (M&A/valuation in corporate, advisory or financial institutions).
