M&A Analyst (Rome, Italy)
The Role
A leading, privately backed renewable energy platform is seeking an M&A Analyst to support transaction execution and strategic growth initiatives across Italy and wider European markets.
The business operates across renewable energy and storage and is supported by long-term, ESG-focused institutional capital. With an active and growing pipeline of projects, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of M&A transactions including acquisitions, JVs, and divestments
- Build and maintain financial models to assess investment opportunities
- Conduct market and industry analysis within the renewable energy space
- Prepare investment materials (IC memos, presentations, reports)
- Support due diligence processes alongside internal teams and external advisors
- Review financials, contracts, and key documentation to identify risks/opportunities
- Maintain deal pipeline and transaction tracking
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in M&A, corporate finance, or similar
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
- Solid understanding of due diligence processes
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
- Exposure to renewable energy is advantageous
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused
