General Qualifications

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline and 4 years' post-related experience. Acceptable alternatives: secondary education and 6 years' post-related experience, or an equivalent education combined with an appropriate amount of relevant, professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge of security and network concepts, policies and procedures, and large experience in developing, implementing, managing and maintaining security and network elements, preferably in operational environments.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities so as to successfully work as a member of multi-national/multi-disciplinary teams (including consultants), dealing with complex, interrelated technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently, to be self-motivated, to work under stress.
  • Sound digital literacy with experience in using office automation systems and software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Specific Qualifications

  • In-depth experience in designing, implementing and managing Firewall based architecture in a very compartmentalized network environment with IPS. Strong experience with SDN technologies including the SDN security hardening
  • Experience in software lifecycle management, python scripting, Qt, QML and PySide.
  • Working knowledge of Puppet, Ansible, VMware and Zabbix.
  • Working experience of Splunk and PKI
  • Very good analytical skills

Language Qualifications

  • NATO's official languages are English and French. The work of this post requires fluency in English, while working knowledge of French is desirable.

POST DETAILS

  • Basic monthly salary: EUR 5 376.14, tax free - before insurance and pension contributions.
  • This position is required for a limited time and the incumbent of this post will be offered a definite duration contract of 3 years.
