Responsibilities

  • Support overall daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as needed.
  • Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station, supervising logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure deliveries meet and exceed operational KPIs.
  • Monitor coordinator and associate performance and coach them as needed; partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations; communicate with delivery service providers to raise quality expectations.
  • Interview candidates for associate roles.
  • Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, maintain meticulous records of administrative tasks, measure and monitor workflows and daily metrics; assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
  • Train and mentor new associates, ensuring they have the knowledge needed to carry out their tasks; resolve process‑related issues as required.
  • Be flexible to work different shifts and overtime when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to adequately resource the function: training needs, absence and performance management, coaching, continuous monitoring of department productivity, and more.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics
  • Experience with data analysis
