The Role: Logistics Manager – Italian Market
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to build and lead logistics operations for the Italian market. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in automotive logistics—preferably with electric vehicles—and is ready to develop efficient, scalable logistics processes from the ground up .
✨ In this early start‑up phase, this is a very hands-on role, focuses on finished vehicles. You will personally set up, coordinate, and operate many logistics processes before the function scales. As one of the first logistics hires in Italy, you will be deeply involved in execution as well as planning—this is not a purely managerial or supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day, hands-on logistics operations (mainly finished vehicles), including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely deliveries of vehicles.
• Handle import‑related procedures, including customs documentation, homologation coordination, and compliance with Italian & EU import regulations for vehicles and automotive components
• Oversee and coordinate PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) activities, ensuring vehicles meet all quality and compliance standards before reaching the dealer network.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure excellent service levels.
• Set up a KP system , prepare reports, and provide performance insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with suppliers, dealers, logistics partners, internal teams, and Headquarters to maintain a smooth and reliable supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive logistics management (EV experience is a plus).
• Professional proficiency in English and Italian.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, distribution, inventory, and PDI processes.
• Proficiency with ERP and logistics systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, international environments.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves in an early-stage setup.
